Cold Case File: Felimon Jimenez
Murder, it seems, is common in some parts of Florida. In 2008, one murder took place in the state every seven hours and 31 minutes, a Florida Department of Law Enforcement report states. One town in north central Florida has bucked that trend.
In 2007, Alachua police responded to their first murder scene since the 1980s. Migrant farmer worker, Felimon Jimenez had been fatally wounded when a robber on a bike confronted at shot him at Autumn Leaves Mobile Home Park on December 21.
Now, almost two years after, the investigation remains open as a cold case file. Who killed Felimon Jimenez?
If you have any information about the perpetrator in the killing of Jimenez, you are asked to contact the Alachua Police Department. Call at 386-462-1396.
