Dr. Tecla Myrick was here today to answer some questions. Fleas and Ticks are bad this year, and can cause anemia and allergies to pets. Flea Collars are ineffective, try for best treatment consult your veterinarian. Dr. Myrick explained that probiotics are a supplement used to try to improve gastrointestinal health. It is used to helps pets digestion and helps keep the "bad bacteria" away. Dr. Myrick also shined some light on Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). This pertains to many cities in the US banning pit bulls as pets. This is a subject that carries lots of controversy but you can call your local ASPCA, shelter, Humane society, or veterinarian and get facts about Pit Bulls and breed specific legislation.
