TV20 STUDIO - Dr. Tecla Myrick was here Tuesday to talk about Thanksgiving pet safety.
Avoid feeding your pets turkey bones as they tend to splinter and can damage your pet's stomach and intestines. Fatty foods like turkey skin, ham, or gravy should be avoided as well because they can cause digestive upset or pancreatitis.
With all of the visitors coming in and out of the house, doors can be left open so be sure that your pet is wearing a collar with ID tags and, if possible, a microchip.
