Stacey Samuel
A native of New York, Stacey is happy to be in the Sunshine State for the warm weather and warm-hearted, Southern hospitality. In May, 2006 she completed her master's degree in Journalism at Columbia University. Her undergraduate degree is from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She shares her love for reporting and story-telling with her passion for documentary. Alongside award-winning talent, she has completed two HBO documentaries on children focusing on music and the other on diversity, which won an Emmy Award. Her documentary credits include stories she's produced for ABC's 20/20, CNN, Court TV, History Channel, Discovery Health and A&E, WNBC, Lifetime and Nickelodeon. Working in news, entertainment and documentary has garnered her considerable experience in shooting, directing, interviewing, some of the fundamental elements she says for producing quality programs. Vital to her work has been the quality of her research and her ability to connect with people. The most important thing to Stacey in telling any story is maintaining its integrity. Stacey is an ardent traveler, and fluent in French. She has benefited from living abroad and experiencing cultural diversity that travel endows, offering a broad perspective on the world and people everywhere. It has also heightened her concern for a variety of social issues. She is now using her diverse experience to bring cultural understanding and awareness to her work as your "Home Team" reporter.
