A property in Alachua County that would become a conservation and parks area, has now been voted on by the County.
In a unanimous vote, Alachua County chose to buy the Weiss Property using the Wild Spaces Public Places tax.
It would be a joint purchase with the City of Gainesville. The City will vote either for or against the purchase on June 21st.
The County would pay about $3 million for the property, and the City would pay $1.5 million.
