GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- Former FSU coach Bobby Bowden signed autographs and and took pictures with developmentally disabled adults as an Arc of Alachua guest.
"It's our 4th gala and we're lucky enough to have Bobby Bowden here today, Bowden and bowties here to develop attention for people with developmental disabilities and their need for continued support in our community," says Mark Swain.
All the money raised goes directly towards programs like job searching and residential programs for the developmentally disabled as well as letting them let go for some fun.
"When somebody else gives you something you need and we have so many people in need its a great cause, and i'm glad they were able to use me and if i can help i want to help," said Bobby Bowden.
Bowden says he's always enjoyed Gainesville if it's different visiting now than it used to be.
"It is different coming down to Gainesville and not having a ball game, not having to worry about winning a dog gone ball game and I've always admired florida university, they were our big rival," said Bowden.
