Columbia County commissioner will have allegations case heard

A Columbia County Commissioner facing allegations of a conflict of interest is scheduled to have his case resolved Friday, March 9th in Tallahassee.
The State Ethics Commission will consider a final decision on District Two commissioner, Rusty Depratter.

Ethics Commission staff found probable cause that Depratter had business dealings with the county that he voted on as a commissioner.

If the Ethics Board accepts the report, Depratter will receive a public censure and reprimand, as well as a $1,000 fine.
