Crash shuts down I75 southbound for 4 hours

Two children and three adults were taken to the hospital, after the SUV they were traveling in blew a tire, and then rolled over several times on I-75.

The accident happened southbound, near mile marker 352, just before 2:30pm on February 9th.

When firefighters got there, they found one person on the ground, and bystanders were trying to remove passengers from the SUV and a second vehicle.

Four ambulances and a helicopter were called in. One patient was taken to Shands Hospital, while the other four were taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

I-75 southbound was closed for almost four hours.
