While Doctor Peter Gallogly still won’t go on camera, he gave TV20 a packet full of information about the incident at Gainesville After Hours Clinic.
Gallogly included his own statement, two witness testimonies and the police report from the night of the argument that went viral.
He says the video patient Jessica Stipe posted was the last minute of an "hour-long episode” that included Stipe cussing and threatening staff, even after her co-payment was returned.
Gallogly says he went to the waiting room because Stipe demanded to see him, which is when the argument on tape happened.
Witness testimonies described stipe as “irate” and said that she threatened staff, telling them they “have what’s coming to them.”
Gallogly apologized in his statement, saying he was defending his staff when he over-reacted, and that there was no excuse for his behavior.
He says his staff is like family, and he only wanted to protect them.
Gallogly is facing grand theft charges for grabbing the girl’s phone and walking away.
He told police he only did it to protect the privacy of his patients who were in the room while the daughter recorded.
The officer said there was no reason to believe Gallogly pushed the teen, so no battery charges were filed.
