GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) “I started acting first at the age of 6, when I was younger I was in a theatre group and there was a lot of older kids there, and they were talking about going out to Los Angeles for pilot season which is when there is a lot of auditions, and I talked to my parents about it and they agreed to let me go,” said Karley Scott Collins, actress and singer.

“She’s my only child, so I haven’t known anything really different, but she’s always carried herself really well, even when she was younger, really mature, always knew what she wanted to do,” said Nena Collins, Karley’s mother.

Karley says this was her first “big break”…

“A television show called The Class, I played a character called Oprah, after the class I was in Once Upon a Time, also I was in a movie called When you Find Me, and Pulse 2, The Collector,” said Karley Collins.

She also says out of all the roles she’s played, this one is her favorite...

“Oh, that’s a hard question, I think honestly Gretel, even though I have enjoyed everything, different aspects of all of it, but that was a lot of fun to bring that fairy tale character to life,” said Karley Collins.

“That was really cool, she was so excited about going to Gretel and when we got there and went to costumes, they make everything, I mean from scratch, its so authentic,” said Nena Collins.

“All of the sets were incredible, like the candy house… that was real, it wasn’t a green screen… they actually built it!” said Karley Collins.

Karley also writes and performs her own songs. She is currently working on a single...

“At the moment I am in the process of recording some of my own music, which is really exciting for me being in the studio, figuring out all the little details, and what I want it to be like so guys can be looking for that in the near future,” said Karley Collins.

Stay tuned next Monday, where we will take a closer look into Karley’s singing career and the single she’s ready to share with the world...
