Former Leonardo 706 employee arrested for attempted burglary

Police arrested a former employee of Leonardo's 706 for attempting to break into that same restaurant.

Police got a call just before 2 am about a suspicious person on the roof of the restaurant. According to reports, Joshua Diaz-Suarez did not listen to the commands of the police and continued to try and break in.

Firemen came and used a ladder to reach Suarez on the roof and discovered he had a knife, hammer, and a crowbar with him.

He's now in the Alachua County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
