Kids' Day at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) Folks looking to beat the heat this summer were in luck today when the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens opened its doors for its fourth annual Kids' Day.
Kids were treated to magic acts, a petting zoo and plenty of water slides and snow cones to keep cool under the blazing summer sun.
Kanapaha Botanical Gardens Director Alexis Caffey says the funds the event collects are going toward improving the Children's Garden by adding play equipment.
The Botanical Gardens' next community event will be its Paint Out event in September where artists will fill the gardens' grounds and paint the scenery over three days.
