Local barbershop giving away haircuts for back to school

WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) - With students going back to school this week across North Central Florida, the owners of a Levy County barbershop are trying to help kids go back in style. The kids are getting free hair cuts!

DC and Angel Floyd own Country Boy Cutz in Williston. After the home invasion that killed James Patterson shook up the community, the brother and sister duo wanted to bring something positive to their community.

With the help of donors, they're giving away haircuts to girls and boys going back to school who need a little extra help.

"I made a post that said if anybody want to talk about giving free haircuts to kids, inbox me, and people have been giving me hundreds of dollars to cut kids hair for free," said DC.

Donors also left school supplies, snacks and drinks, for students going back to school.

School has already started in Levy County, but they will be giving out donations until they run out.
