Levy County deputies say they have arrested an amateur MMA fighter for punching a man twice at a bar.
According to deputies, a man walked up to 27-year-old Hank Williams at Bubba’s Place in Fanning Springs on May 5th and the pair argued.
Deputies then say Williams punched the man twice in the face unprovoked and while the man had his hands in his pocket's, leaving the man unconscious. Deputies then say Williams fled before law enforcement arrived.
Deputies later found out that Williams is registered as an amateur MMA fighter. Tuesday morning, deputies found him on County Road 341 in Chiefland near Chiefland Elementary School and took him into custody.
He faces a felony battery charge. Deputies say the man he attacked is in critical condition.
