GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- The Tim Tebow Foundation is throwing it's Fourth Annual Night to Shine at Grace United Methodist Church at Fort Clarke in Gainesville.
The event is being held at more than 500 churches around the world on the same night. It's a prom dedicated to people with special needs, ages 14 and up.
Guests were given a VIP entrance on a red carpet, professional photographers to catch their special moments, and limo rides. The women got their hair and make up done, and men got their shoes shined.
It was all intended to be an unforgettable night.
Marketing Coordinator for Night to Shine, Kristen Thompson said, "Tonight is just all about them. It's not about what their diagnosis is. It's not about what their limitations are, or the bad stuff. That kind of gets centered and focused on all the time. This is just about them as a person."
About 400 people volunteered and more than 180 people attended.
