MCSO: Ocala resident beats up woman after he's denied sex

Ocala, Fla., (WCJB) — A resident of Ocala beat up a woman after she refused to have sex with him, according to Marion County deputies.

According to a sheriff's office report, 29-year-old Shannon Farris came home from work June 9th and tried to have sex with the woman. When she said no, deputies say Farris began choking her and kicked her in the stomach. Deputies then say he tied her to a chair, cut her lower arms and hit her in the face and head, knocking her unconscious. According to the arrest report, Farris cut her lower arms to make deputies think she committed suicide when they found her body.

She later woke up in the yard and ran to a neighbor's house to call deputies.
