Teen to be tried as adult in drive-by shooting

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A teenager arrested as a suspected gunman in a drive-by shooting is being moved to the Alachua County Jail.
The 17-year-old suspect was arrested in early january as a juvenile, but state prosecutors want to try him as an adult.
The shooting happened on december 28th.
Witnesses say the teen fired into a crowd on southwest 61st terrace, that's in linton oaks.
No one was hit.
The victims were able to identify who they thought was involved to deputies as well as a description of the car.
Investigators say the shooting was sparked by a fight online with a girl.

he's being charged with attempted first degree murder.
