After a month of uncertainty, a North Central Florida mom and pop shop will remain open, but under some conditions.
The Amish Store in Newberry was supposed to close last month, because it was not up to code.
City Planner, Bryan Thomas, had said while the building doesn't meet code, the city had not threatened to shut it down.
He had offered owner, David Fogg, some solutions. Yesterday morning, Fogg posted online the store would stay open this year, but with a new look.
Fogg will get plans together and deliver them to city leaders.
