Two NCFL towns no longer deemed "traffic traps"

Two towns in North Central Florida will no longer be deemed as "traffic traps," after more than 20 years with the title.

AAA removed the designation from Lawtey and Waldo on Tuesday, saying a "disbanded police department, a new police chief, and legislative action" have brought "reasonable traffic law enforcement practices" to the area.

For almost 23 years, Waldo and Lawtey held the title of the only AAA traffic traps in the U.S. AAA will no longer warn members to drive with extreme caution in the area, or take different routes.
