UF remembers Pulse victims

GAINESVILLE, Fla. Today marks the second anniversary of the Pulse shooting that happened in Orlando.

The University of Florida's Multicultural and Diversity Affairs did a special gesture to remember the lives that were lost.

The department created an event called ‘Remember Pulse' that started today.

The department has displayed photos of each victim on the outside of their centers.

They also have provided sticky notes and markers to hear from students on how they will honor the 49 lives lost.

“That was a tragedy that really impacted the UF community and we certainly didn't want the date to pass by without us getting a chance to reflect,” UF Multicultural and Diversity Affairs assistant director Diana Moreno said.

The event will last until July 12th so incoming students for the summer B semester can have a chance to pay their respects.
