Maintaining Weight Loss
Published March 13th, 2008
It's the second most preventable cause of death in the United States... obesity, or even just being overweight. While it's easy for many people to lose weight, a new study shows that having someone to help maintain the loss can keep the weight off.  Â
Researchers compared two different weight maintenance methods with self-directed maintenance. One group had regular meetings with a counselor, while the other group used self-directed interactive technology. While most people maintained their loss, the greatest losses were in the group who met with a counselor.Â
