TV20 STUDIO - Dr. Tecla Myrick was here Tuesday to talk about Parvo, and how to prevent it in dogs and cats.
Parvo is a disease accompanied by such symptoms as vomiting, bloody diarrhea and loss of appetite.
Dogs should recieve a Parvo vaccination at 6 weeks old, along with booster shots every 2 to 3 weeks until they are 16 weeks of age.
If a pet with Parvo has been in your house, it is important to clean its toys, bowls and the floor with a solution containing one part bleach to thirty parts water.
