Professional basketball coach Doc Rivers took a break from the court this weekend to help register Florida voters.

The head of the Boston Celtics attended an "Organizing for America" voter registration barbecue in Orlando.

Rivers says it's important for everyone to excercise their right to vote.

The deadline to register in the swing state of Florida is October 9th.
