Search for Kamrie Mitchell Continues
Published October 1st, 2012
LAKE CITY- On the eve of her birthday, Kamrie Mitchell’s family is having a hard time celebrating a loved one that they can’t track down.
They are still searching for any information that will lead them to her.
Mitchell's mother Stefani says, “We’re on the timeline and they tell us they’re doing everything they can, but the hardest part of that is, that shes still not here.”
On August 25th Andrelo Witcher was arrested for breaking into Kamrie’s father, Tony Mitchell’s home and threatening Kamrie before stealing some personal items... Tony says that he feared for both his and his daughters life.
That day August 25th also is the last time her family reported seeing her.
12 days after Mitchell was last seen Witcher was arrested by the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office for the break in on charges of armed burglary.
Sheriff Tony Cameron refused to comment on his connection the missing person case.
“I dont ever name person of interest. they’re certainly people that we’re interviewing, and we’re checking into their whereabouts and those kinds of things,” says Cameron.
The public defender assigned to Witcher withdrew from the case because of ethical concerns and says that he also doesn’t wish to comment.
A closer look into Witcher’s history shows that Mitchell is not the first missing persons case he may have had a hand in.
In 2007 he was brought in for questioning regarding the disappearance of his ex girlfriend Heather MacCrossen, who is still yet to be found.
