City Commission Race Results are In
Craig Lowe who represents district four of Gainesville will serve his second term in the seat, having won by 79% of the vote. More than 1,000 people voted in this race.
Lowe says that he will continue to champion environmental issues and work on initiatives to build the East Gainesville economy.
While the incumbent won by a landslide, the race was congenial.
City Commissioner Craig Lowe says, "We will continue our effort to protect our environment which includes setting aside natural areas for future generations to enjoy."
Challenger Pat Fitzpatrick says, "I think Craig Lowe is one of the finest people I've ever met I think he's done a great job as a city commissioner and I think he'll continue to do a great job."
Fitzpatrick says while he didn't win this one, he will consider running for office again.
