Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say the driver of a late model Jeep was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of US 301 when it struck a semi.  Both vehicles burst into flames.

The driver and the passenger in the Jeep were killed, the driver of the semi is okay.

The accident shut down parts of the northbound lane of US 301 near Citra.  FHP is investigating the crash.
