Captain Gainey Says Goodbye to ACSO

Gainey will be moving on to Tallahassee and working for the Office of the Attorney General, coordinating law enforcement programs on a statewide basis.
"It feels terrific," said Gainey. "I spend 25 years, most of adult career here at Alachua County Sheriff's Office working and serving the citizens, it's been an absolutely wonderful career."
Wednesday was Gainey's last day on the job. During his time with the Sheriff's Office, he has served in many different positions, which include Public Information Officer, Homeland Security Commander and Crime Prevention Unit.
