Rat Infestation Problem
You may be one of many North Central Floridians are enjoying nice music and festivals at the downtown community plaza this summer. But you're not alone. Rats are now calling the Downtown Community Plaza home.
Pest control exterminators say the park is a good location for rats, there's plenty of food and good hiding places.
The rats aren't causing a big problem yet. City officials say they want to keep it that way. On August 19th from 6pm to 6am Florida Pest Control will rope off The Downtown Community and set out rat traps.
The city has a contract with an exterminator when it comes to the infestation of buildings. But had to hire Florida Pest Control to do the job at the Downtown Community Plaza, which will cost 25-hundred dollars. So far no one is saying what type of traps they will be using.
