Recycling Center Hours
Sunday is a great day to relax and catch up on all those chores around the house like taking out the trash and recyclables.
In Marion County the days and hours of the recycling center are changing at the end of the month.
It was probably one of those things taken for granted, even days a week, twelve hours a day; you could drop off your recyclables. Now as the county attempts to cut back on expenses, instead of completely doing away with the recycling centers as they originally planned, they decided to instead cut the hours.
Joe Raby who works at the Baseline Recycling Center says, "I really believe when they start opening at nine and you know seven is the normal hour, they'll be waiting at the gate at seven."
Starting July 31st, the centers will be closed Sunday, Monday and Mhursday.
They will be open 7 a-m to 5 p-m Wednesday and Saturday. On Tuesday and Friday they will be open from 9 a-m to 7 p-m.
