Alvin Wilkerson was in a Union County courtroom yesterday, where a judge set his pretrial conference for January 2008. 

The defense asked Acting Circuit Court Judge David Reiman for a continuance. They say they are still taking depositions from the more than a 100 witnesses.  The judge granted the request for more time to prepare their case.  Because of that, it could be another 8 months before his trial begins.
