Car Burglar Suspects Arrested
Deputies arrested two teenage boys for the crimes. They say 17 year old Nathaniel Jackson and a 15 year old friend broke into and stole valuables from most of the cars this weekend.
They've recovered some of the stolen items, including the sheriff's deputy's shotgun.
"It really is surprising, but it's a happy surprise. I think everybody--citizens, us-- was relieved to come in this morning and see we do have someone in custody for these car burglaries," said Alachua County Sheriff's Spokesperson Art Forgey.
Jackson is charged with grand theft auto. His 15 year old friend is expected to be charged with the same offense in the next few days. That's when his name will be released. They both could face a slew of additional charges.
