Sheriff Demotes Deputy

Jim Troiano of the Alachua County Sheriffs Office has been demoted from rank of captain to lieutenent.  Sources tell WCJB that Sheriff Sadie Darnell considers the rank of captain a Command Staff position and serves at the will of the sitting sheriff. WCJB will have more on this story Friday.Â
