Old tires and soda bottles were among the 1-thousand pounds of trash pulled from a local sink hole today. It's in an area that provides drinking water for some residents in south Columbia County.
More than twenty-five volunteers spent their Saturday cleaning and protecting rose sink. The sink hole flows into the Ichetucknee Springs, also a popular spot for swimmers.
Volunteers hope the sink will stay cleaner now, a fence was put up in an effort to stop trash from getting in there.
