Some Gainesville City Commission candidates tried to make a lasting impression in the final public forum before election day Tuesday. Six of the seven commission candidates were at the forum held at the United Church of Gainesville.
This forum was different because the candidates not only had to impress the public, but an organization concerned with controlling new development. The women for wise growth is a political action committee. Which means they can endorse candidates. So those running for office found themselves trying to impress the organization along with thirty citizens.
