Pigs on Highway
An accident northbound by mile marker 350 caused about eight pigs to come off their trailer onto the wood area of 1-75.
The pigs were traveling to the hog auction in Ocala when the trailer they were traveling on came loose, the driver went to check on the trailer and thats when a car came out of no where.
The pigs escaped from the smashed up trailer and hung out in the woods eating for about two and half hours until another trailer was brought to the scene.
Thats when Animal Control tried to get the pigs in the trailer, it took them about 15 minutes and even had to shock a couple of them until they all got in. One pig out of the eight, broke its legs and had to be put down beside 1-75.
All the other pigs will be at Saturday's Hog Auction in Ocala.
