A Hawthorne woman is dead and florida highway troopers are investigating the first fatal train accident in Alachua County in ten years. The accident happened around one o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the community of Island Grove, which is south of Hawthorne.

WCJB's Gavin Johnson tells us, some who live in the community are surprised more accidents haven't happened along those tracks.
