Location is everything in the real estate market, especially for condos here in North-Central Florida. Gainesville's condo sales are not as bad as other cities in Florida. Although some new projects are running into trouble, that's not the case for Campus View Condos. Condo developers consider land surrounding U-F's campus golden. Parents see Campus View Condos as an investment in their children's future. Gainesville is down 3 percent in condo sales compared to last year, while surrounding cities are down 40 to 70 percent. Campus View is located on one of only four corners of campus. This location allows them to keep their prices higher than competitors ... still selling units before they are even done.
