Warm Welcome for Gainesville Soldier
Published May 22nd, 2008
Michael Swart returned to the crowded baggage claim area to find those who supported him on his tour. His mother, Carol Swart, took the call on Mother's Day 2007, finding out he would be deployed. His family is excited he is back but understands what other army families are still going through. Now that he is back, he wants nothing more than a nice steak and to relax on Florida's beaches. He is waiting for his two other friends in Iraq to safely return this month and then he can celebrate their arrival.
