The Alachua County Sheriff's Office along with many other law enforcement officials going into neighborhoods and trying to make a difference.

That difference is underscored by 32 arrests and 36 people charged - this past weekend in a 2 day operation to nail street level drug dealers.

Authorities are calling the sting - Operation: That Just Happened.

Street Crime Deputies going into different parts of the county to find pot, pills, and wads of cash on drug dealers and arresting them on the spot. also seizing a handgun and two vehicles.

Police say they are very serious about cleaning up the streets of Gainesville and the community welcomes the changes being made to help keep them safe.

Knowing police are out here to patrol and clean up the corners are a big plus for those here at tower oaks.

Officials say these operations are worth doing if just one neighborhood can sleep soundly at night.
