Second Burglar Caught
A Second person has turned himself in for robbing the Suntrust bank in silver springs shores yesterday.
With encouragement from his mother, 25-year old Darrick Robinson of Ocala walked into the Sheriff's Office.
The other suspect... 17-year old James Simpson... was arrested at his grandmother's home after numerous tips came from people who recognized him from bank surveillance photos.
The number of calls we received from citizens just goes to show you that people are aware of their surroundings. What they see they are going to remember and they're going to call and be helpful. One way or another the criminals are going to get caught, whether it's the same day or a week later, we'll bring them to justice because of the help of the citizens.
Robinson declined an on-camera interview but did say he was sorry for the robbery.
