Published October 2nd, 2008
The man investigators say is responsible for poaching a trophy buck from a Lake Butler game farm has turned himself in to authorities.
Wildlife officers say 22- year- old Dustin Cole Jernigan of Haines City turned himself in to Alachua County Sheriff's Deputies ON Monday.
Jernigan faces four felony counts for killing the captive deer nearly a month ago.
Investigators say they found out about Jernigan because he had a friend take the deer's head to a taxidermist.
The taxidermist called authorities after noticing the deer's unique antlers.
