Saturday wasn't just about cake walks, musical chairs and christmas presents. Community leaders along with Deputies got together to teach kids how to stay safe in their neighborhood. Deputies in the area say that Holly Heights has high crime activity.
9-year-old Jashonna Carbin wants Santa to come to her house "because I want him, I want to see if he's real," she says.
But Santa and his little helpers aren't the only ones meeting up with children and teens of Holly Heights. Community leaders and Deputies are busy making sure that their Christmas giveaway doesn't end in violence, but rather initiate respect for law enforcement. For more on this story please see video:
