Kids Watch Obama Inauguration
Published January 20th, 2009
All eyes were glued to the small TV screen in Bridget Schmidt's fifth grade classroom, eager to watch Barack Obama officially become the 44th President.
Minutes before history was made Lamont Wallace pondered his reaction to Barack Obama taking the Presidential Oath of Office.
"Jumping...excitement...maybe a little tear drop. I don't know," Wallace said.
Wallace said he won't forget where he was when he witnessed history. And on President Obama's first day in office, Lamont had one simple wish.
"I hope we have Obama for a very, very long time," Wallace said.
