"Your muscles tense up and tighten up and you actually feel like there is a hammer riding on your skeleton," says Corporal Joe Senn of the Gainesville Police Department.
Senn says that this weapon will help protect officers from attacks. But only 50 officers have them out of 300 people at GPD. Lieutenant Keith Kameg says they hope to add 40 tasers with their own money, if approved by the City Commission.
"Currently we are using federal contraband fofeiture funds for the taser purchases basically that's the money we get from drug dealers," says Kameg. For more on this story please see video:
