Shooting at Teen Night
The crime scene tape is coming down, about 12 hours after three people were hit by bullets outside the Elks lodge on East Washington Street.
A witness says when the argument started shortly after midnight, he tried to get the teens away from the parking lot.
Terrence Brown said, "The bullet actually went through my legs when I pushed the girl into the ditch. I just thank god, it could have been worse than that."
Demetrious McGowan has to get a new front tire, but his car isn't the only one damaged by the gunfire.
He said, "I just see (sic) people running back in and I heard gunshots and I ran outside to see none of my people were hurt." He knows both female victims who were hit, one in the chest and one in the foot. They have been taken to Gainesville hospitals with serious injuries.
Columbia County Sheriff's Office's Sgt. Ed Seifert says, "We have no idea what the motive was and why this occurred. Our detectives are working it, we'll find it."
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office called in FDLE to help process the crime scene.
Deputies have arrested 18-year-old Marcus Jones and charged him with three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm.
They have warrants for Bruce Harris and Jeffery Clark, both 19 years old.
Harris is wanted for three counts of attempted murder.
Clark is in the hospital with injuries. Detectives aren't sure how he was shot.
Terrence Brown says he heard one teen taunting another about shooting at his house.
Regardless of what happened, he hopes this isn't the end of teen night.
Columbia County Detectives say more than one type of gun was fired, but they are not releasing what caliber.
