Funeral for Local Marine

Twenty-one-year-old Patrick Malone was killed last Tuesday while on duty in Iraq.
Friends and family poured into the Hiers Funeral Home in Ocala, to remember the Marine.
His family was told by the U.S. Department of Defense that Malone was killed in a non-hostile incident
Each immediate family member was given a pin to both honor and remember Malone's service.
"In the end, I'm just glad he did what he wanted and didn't live a life of regret," Jennifer Hopper, Malone's sister, said.
His funeral will be tomorrow at 11:30 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala.
