According to a news release, the fire has burned about 10,000 acres since it started last week at an unattended campfire.
Some campgrounds and roads in the forest remained closed Monday and officials warned motorists to drive with caution in smoky areas.
This weekend, firefighters used a helicopter to drop water on the blaze and on Monday will use a canoe to reach spots of the fire.
