They've yet to release his name because they have not been able to contact the victim's mother in Georgia.
The accident happened Saturday northeast of Alachua.
Firefighters believe the man was dumping a load of mulch and pulled his truck forward with the boom still upright. The electricity energized the hydraulic fluid which started a fire in the cab.
They believe the man was electrocuted when he tried to get out of the truck.
