A Gainesville teen remains in the
Alachua County Jail in connection with the case of a woman who was
attacked on Sunday night in Haile Plantation.
Tyler D. Allen was arrested and charged
with battery on a person 65 years of age or older, after deputies
found a suspicious vehicle parked on Southwest 44th Avenue in Haile
Plantation.
Allen told deputies he had been staying
in his vehicle at that location for last couple of nights over a
family dispute.
Deputies arrested Allen after they
found marijuana and narcotic equipment on him.
The victim of the assault identified
Allen as her attacker and he was charged with battery.
Allen received additional charges
yesterday in connection with his family dispute.
He will have his appearance on the
domestic charges on Thursday.
