Published April 6th, 2009
At around 9 p.m. Sunday, a woman anwered a knock at her door to an unfamiliar face. She called 911 for help.
When a police officer got there, the strange man at the door attacked and hit the officer. The man drove away, but got stuck in the mud in a nearby driveway. He ran to a Hardee's restaurant and approached a woman in the drive-thru. She refused to get out of the car. He punched her. A man who was also in the drive-thru chased the attacker through the parking lot.
At CVS, the man approached another woman and tried to steal her keys. But she refused to let go. He kept running until police caught him at the First Baptist Church in High Springs.
